Anna Evelyn (Winslow) Peters of West Salem, Ohio, age 89, passed away Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at her residence.
Evelyn was born March 4, 1930, in Woodstock, Ohio to the late Lawrence W. and Hazel A (Burroughs) Winslow.
Evelyn was raised by her mother in Marion, Ohio. She graduated from Harding High School in 1948, and on June 20th, 1948, she married Charles R. Peters of Marion, Ohio. They were married 54 years. Together they raised five children, Bruce Vick, Victor Ray, Roger Alan, Nancy Jane and Timothy Charles.
Charles passed away November 14th, 2002 in Wolf Creek, Montana, where the couple had lived for several years following Charles' retirement.
Evelyn was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Babe Rollins White, two sons, Bruce Vick and Roger Alan Peters and her only brother, Philip L. Winslow.
Evelyn will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Seberiano of West Salem, Ohio, two sons, Victor (Loretta) Peters of Tucson, Arizona, Timothy (Barbara) Peters of Helena, Montana, three sisters, Ethel McNally of Madisonville Tennessee, Marlene Roddy of Largo, Florida and Janice Harper of Marion, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jane Martinez of Eagle Lake, Florida, Cynthia Butler of Cape Coral, Florida, Wayne (Amanda) Rollins of Fairfax, Virginia, Anne and Jean Peters of Dover, New Jersey and Alice Ewer of O'Fallon, Illinois; ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Evelyn traveled with her husband to many states in our country and six foreign countries. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for several years out west before retiring to Montana. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, painting and baking. For years, she enjoyed entering sewing and baking items at local country and state fairs.
Evelyn chose to donate her body to The Ohio State University, Division of Anatomy. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
