On November 26, 1968 in the city of Chicago, IL; The chimes of time rang out to the news that James Westley White, III was born. A son of the late James Westley White, II and Lillian Carol Orr White.
Jay Dub, as he was affectionately called by family and friends. Following graduation from high school, James relocated to Columbus, OH to attend Ohio State University, where he played football. After his time at OSU, He became a promoter in the Columbus area, for several years. While in Columbus He meet the love of his life Telese Bruce. Who he shared his life and love with for Four and a half years. Expressing his love and devotion to her by asking her hand in marriage.
James was the founder and CEO of Nightstars Magazine, of which became his passion. He worked diligently until the magazine was a success. He was a sponsor of the Arnold Classic and the promoter of the 'After Party'.
James had the dream of owning and operating a Party Bus. A dream that Telese plans to make into a reality. He loved to travel and he and Telese traveled often and extensively. He loved photography and always had a camera near by.
On December 29, 2017 the chimes of time rang out again in the City of Columbus, OH. The life of James Westley White, III; which began 49 years, 1 month and 3 days ago reached its final destination. "Jay Dub" was called to join his father James, II., uncles Preston E. Young and Randolph Young; preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loved and devoted fiance Telese Bruce of Columbus, OH. His mother Lillian Carol Whiteof Atlanta, GA. A loving and devoted aunt Dora (George) Duncan of Sylacauga, AL; aunt Latona (James) Gaines of Akron, OH; 5 special cousins Michael (Medera) Johnson, Dazzle Joe, Yieyser Presteen Whiteside, Dazzelle Martin and Randy Young. A host of other cousins, relatives and friends. A special friend who was like a brother, Terry Clark.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from Noon - 1:00 pm. at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, Short North Chapel, 34 W 2nd Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43201. Where a memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm.
