William N. Caslow was born into this world June 16, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio and went home to the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ March 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Red) C. and Clara B. (Morris) of Columbus, OH, two sisters (Mary Virginia and Alice), two brothers (Robert and Earl), daughter (Sandra Voelkel), and grandson (Cory Franklin). Survived by wife Louise, children Teri DeMatteo, Janet (Tim) Franklin, William J. (Mary), 16 grand-children, 21 great-grand-children and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1950 and thoroughly enjoyed attending the class reunions. Jack-of-all-trades, he enjoyed making people laugh and will forever be remembered for his laugh, hugs, stories and euphemisms. He also enjoyed fishing – especially in his stocked pond on their property -- wood working, and walking hand-in-hand with the love of his life: his wife, Louise. Husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great-grandpa, friend, mentor and brother-in-Christ, he will be sorely missed.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 2:00 PM March 31, 2019 at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43082. Fellowship will follow. The family requests wearing festive or colorful clothing as we will not be mourning his death, but celebrating his life!
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to OASIS MINISTRIES, P.O. Box 3000 Westerville, Ohio 43086 (assisting missionaries returning from the field).
