Alfred Pruneau

May 19, 1947 — November 21, 2025

Alfred (Fred) Pruneau was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Unfortunately, Fred passed away on November 21, 2025 in the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest doing what he loved, playing basketball.

Throughout his life, he was an incredible, avid athlete. He participated in competitive sports including golf, racquetball, basketball, and softball. Fred had some of his best memories winning tournaments with friends, and coaching his son and his teammates.

His kindness was palpable. Everyone who knew Fred liked him. He was there when he was needed most. We will always carry him in our hearts and continue his helping, caring spirit. His children, Quentin, Ashley, and Jennifer, will always have their father as an example of goodness.

Fred’s funeral will be held on December 6, 2025 at the Shaw Davis Funeral Home. We hope to see all the friends and family who can attend to help us remember Fred and the great man that he was.
