Allecia Ruth von der Embse

Allecia Ruth von der Embse of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025 at the age of 85.

Born and raised in Glendale, Arizona, Allecia spent her formative years in the southwest - fostering her love of nature and all its beauty.

She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Dayton and was a lifelong learner. Her other passions included travel, flowers, books, animals, spirituality, art, politics, CNN, and watching every single Hallmark Christmas movie ever made. She was one of a kind and led a very colorful, free-spirited life.

She will be greatly missed by her children Lisa (Todd) and Eric; and her beloved grandsons Drew, Ben, and Carter.
