Alonna Shakiah Mcleod

February 6, 2001 — January 5, 2026

Alonna Mcleod was born February 6, 2001, to Danielle Plummer in Columbus, Ohio. She departed this earthly life on January 5, 2026, at the tender age of 24. She was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed.

Alonna graduated from Marion Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio; she also attended the University of Cincinnati with a focus on Law Enforcement.

Alonna was recently a dedicated employee of Beacon Specialized Living and worked with her great aunt at AHJ Enterprise LLC – Mary Hill throughout her career. She had a strong passion and genuinely enjoyed working with individuals with disabilities and supporting their independence and quality of life.

Alonna had a sibling relationship that was one of unwavering love, loyalty, and shared a history that can never be replaced. She shared a connection with her cousin Diamond Woods that was as close as being sisters; that brought joy and warmth to both their lives. She especially shared a bond with her sister, Arieanna. Only siblings would understand; rooted in love, laughter and a lifetime of memories. She absolutely loved her family and was devoted to them.

Alonna expressed her love through cooking and took great joy in grocery shopping and carefully choosing ingredients for her next new idea for family meals. She loved dining out as well, which gave her yet more opportunity to share her time with loved ones.

Alonna was an old soul; her favorite music was ‘90s R&B, which always brought her joy. Her favorite color was blue just like her great grandmother Juanita Hill. Her spirituality was a source of strength and peace.

Alonna was a devoted young mother whose greatest joy was raising her daughters Ahzia & Amillia. They were the center of her world, and her love for them was fierce, nurturing, and unconditional. Though her life was far too short, the love she poured into her daughters will guide them for a lifetime.

Alonna is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Juanita Hill, Samuel and Ethel Plummer Jr., grandfather, Lyle Plummer, great aunt Catherine Plummer and great uncle Chris Plummer.

Alonna is survived by her mother Danielle Plummer; daughters Azhia and Amillia Brown; siblings Arieanna Holliday, Micheal Holliday, Kaya Holliday, Alissa Ward, Kathlyn Holliday, Larry Holliday Sr., and Joshua Holliday; grandmother Aiko Plummer; godmother Tia Valentine; uncles and aunts Lyle Plummer, Jr., Larende Plummer, Aaron Felder, Michka Hill and Marquisa Heeke; nephew Quincy Melms; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and other faithful family and loyal friends.
