Angelo Carter, age 50, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on June 21, 2026.
Angelo was born and raised in Chicago until he moved to Elyria at the age of 15 with his mother Kimelia Carter.
He attended Elyria West High School. After High School he worked at West Roofing for 30 years. He was also a private contractor for the DOD, and he worked in Iraq during Operation Iraq Freedom.
Angelo loved his grandbabies immensely. Angelo was a comedian at heart and enjoyed playing dominos, cornhole and cards. He also enjoyed being the commentary during all the CHICAGO sporting events (Cubs, Bull, and the BEARS). BEAR DOWN!
Angelo was a member of Faith Ministries Church. Angelo had a heart for the Lord. He loved singing and sang on the praise and worship team, men’s choir, and mass choir. He was baptized at an early age and rededicated his life back over to the Lord in 2020 and was baptized again.
Angelo now joins his loving mother Kimelia Carter, maternal grandparents Sandy & Christine Carter and Aunt Torsha Carter.
He leaves behind his Wife Tawana Carter, Daughters: Octavia Carter, Ayana Carter, Diamond Boone, Precious Boone and Kimelia Carter, Honorary Daughter Monet Bumper, Brother Stanley Davis Jr, Sister Jackie Davis, Nieces Brittney Davis and Briana Patrick and Nephew Larry Reynolds. Grandkids: Brielle, LaMiyah, Phoenyx, Phor, Aiden, Ky, and Chase. Mother-in-law Janet McCall and Brother-in-law Marlon (Tamika) Wade. Uncle Alvin (Regina) Carter, Uncle Ellyson (Willie) Carter, Uncle Pat Keen, Momma Lue Davis, Cousin/Momma Yvette Kelly, Cousin/Auntie Robin (Ulus) Brooks, 1st Cousins Re-Al, Corey, and Shenique. Friends Charles (Chuck) Piper, Bo Davis, and Aaron Frazier. Host of relatives and friends.
