Anthony Dean Fritz

Anthony "Tony" Dean Fritz, 68, of Minford, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. 

Born on February 2, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Jack D. and Shirley A. (Morgan) Fritz. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lisa Fritz, his brother Andrew (Andy) Fritz, his son Devin Martin, and his parents. 

Tony retired from the City of Lucas, Texas. He took pride in his work and in serving his community. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and hanging out with his family and friends. He especially loved smoking meat, grilling outdoors, preparing large meals for his family, and chatting around the dinner table. 

He is survived by his loving children: John (Melanie) Fritz, Jennifer Fritz (Bill Boyle), and Travis Fritz. He was a proud grandfather to Brittanie Thompson, Briawna Thompson, Branden Thompson, Branden Thompson, Evan Fritz, Elizabeth Fritz, Daniel Boyle, Mattilyn Fritz, Archer Fritz, and Hunter Fritz, as well as seven great-grandchildren. 

He is also survived by his siblings: Jeff Fritz, Pati Fritz, Jack Fritz, Bryan (Tammie) Fritz, Margi Fritz, and Bobby (Brigette) Fritz. 

Tony will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His legacy of love, laughter, and shared meals will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene, 226 N. Market Street, Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143.
