Antonio "Tony" Caradonna

Antonio "Tony" Caradonna, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Sunday, May 28th, 2023 at the age of 87 years old. Tony was born and raised in Bisaccia, Italy before immigrating to the United States with his family in 1952. During his 71 years in Columbus, Tony made a career as mechanic, operating and owning, Tony’s Marathon, in Grandview Heights. He was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Italian Village, as well as a member of the Sons of Italy, and the Guild Athletic Club. Tony’s family and friends will remember him for his joking sense of humor and his kind, giving heart. Tony is survived by his companion Luisa Stefanelli; his son, Thomas Caradonna (Heidi); his daughter, Annamaria Cua (Jamey); six grandchildren, Salvatore, Angelo, Cameron, Anthony, Gianna, and Eva; his brother Mike Caradonna (Angela); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tony was preceded in death by his son Sully Caradonna and his parents, Salvatore and Maria Caradonna. A mass and funeral will be held 10:00AM Friday July 21st at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215, followed by a burial service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 6440 S High St, Lockbourne, OH 43137.
