Arthur Sanders

Arthur R. Sanders, loving husband of Susan and father to his four girls, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2020, eighty-two years and four days after his birth. Art was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara, parents Marie and Arthur, and cousins Bruce and Larry Olsen.

He married Susan in 1969 and they raised their four daughters: Lauren (Nasko), Kristin (Sean), Megan (Drew), and Bryn (Arnel) in Mendham, NJ before moving to Ohio in 1993. Their four grandchildren, Alex (6), Will (5), Riley (4), and Bode (3), have happy memories of spending time with their Papa.

Art was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where he grew up alongside his cousins, John (“Wode”) and Doug Olsen. A Brooklyn Dodgers fan who worked on Wall Street for 30+ years, Art had a big sense of humor and an even bigger heart. Art loved having a Scotch with good friends and family, cheering his girls on at their sporting events, and spending summers at the Jersey shore.

All of his “ladies” were by his side for his last days spent in hospice care. It was a peaceful and special time together. We will miss him every day. He was a “goodie”.
