Ashley Nicole Blackwell

Ashley Nicole Blackwell, born on April 3, 1985 in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 24, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital due to cardiac arrest. She was a shining light in the lives of those who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love.

Ashley was a proud graduate of Eastmoor High School, where she not only excelled academically but also served as Homecoming Queen. Following her graduation, she pursued higher education at Kentucky State University, where she was honored with a full four-year academic scholarship, a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Ashley is survived by her loving parents, Jeffrey (Adla) Blackwell and Tracy (Mark) Wilson. She was cherished by her siblings, Dane Blackwell, Seth Blackwell, Zachary Wilson, Edward Wilson, Madison Wilson, and Mark Wilson II. As a devoted mother, she leaves behind her children, Brooklyn Hameter and Gabryel Blackwell, who were the joys of her life.

Her family also includes her beloved grandfather, Edward Morgan, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is remembered fondly by her uncles Chris Blackwell and Curtis Calloway II, and aunts Carrine Blackwell and Kimberly Morgan. Additionally, she held a special place in her heart for her aunt Andrea Calloway and uncle Ron Howell. Her cousins, Antione Matthews, Anika Calloway, Gerron Calloway, Michael Smith, Matt Smith, Kayla Morgan, Amari Gwinn, and Seven Harper, along with many friends, will carry her memory forward.

She is predeceased by grandfather, Teddy Blackwell; Grandmothers Carol Curtis and Linda Morgan; Uncle Edward (Duke) Morgan and Aunt Juanita Orr.

Ashley’s legacy will be honored with a visitation on January 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, all taking place at Shaw Davis Clintonville Chapel, located at 4341 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.
