Barbara Ann Moore, 82, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 26, 2025 at home.
Barbara was born on February 6, 1943 in Franklinville, New Jersey, the daughter of Alexander and Dorothy Dolinski (Bradel).
Barbara joins her parents, her spouses, Ronald Bullock and Virgil Moore; her son, Ronald Bullock, and daughter, Barbara Meyer; her granddaughter Danielle LaBrec and her brother William Dolinski.
She is survived by her children Peggy Moore, Walter Bullock, and Audrey LaBrec; siblings Ronald and Dorothy, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara’s greatest accomplishment was her role as mother to her five children. She dedicated her life to ensuring their wellbeing and happiness. She excelled as a seamstress, and successfully fulfilled responsibilities as office manager and bookkeeper. Barbara, her husband Virgil Moore, and their children, established and operated Apple Appliance Center in Columbus, Ohio. Upon retirement they relocated to Florida, where they enjoyed gardening, bike riding, and friends. Barbara enjoyed reading, cooking for others, and spending time with loved ones. She participated in global humanitarian efforts by providing sewed and crocheted clothes for children in need. In addition to her domestic talents, Barbara maintained the financial records and expenditures for her community church.
Barbara was a dedicated disciple of her God and lived a life of unselfishness, compassion, and charity. Her life exemplified the scripture, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Throughout her life she served her family, her neighbor, and her community. She fed the hungry, clothed the naked, and helped those who suffered. Barbara leaves a legacy of service and an example of charity to all who knew her. This is reflected in her decision to be remembered through our interactions with others rather than in a formal funeral service. It is her desire that we honor her by serving and easing the burdens of others. Any donations or flowers can be directed to those around you who are in need.
We are grateful for friends and family who have brought joy to Barbara throughout her life. She was strengthened by the love and support of those around her, and cherished each one. She exemplified and embodied a true friend, both of mankind and God. As we remember her, we will reach toward her example of love, that her life will continue on.
