Benjamin Charles Davenport (Big Benny) of Columbus Ohio passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on January 13, 2026 at the age of 69.
Ben was born September 28, 1956 in Portsmouth Virginia to Benjamin and Lorraine Davenport.
Ben was a long time member, deacon, usher, and choir member of Heritage Baptist Church in Canal Winchester. Ben was a man of immense faith and cherished his relationship with God.
Ben Graduated from Bayside High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1974 and was a four year graduate of Devry Technical College in Columbus, Ohio.
Ben was a beloved member of Engineered Profiles for 50 years. His life’s work was put into the company he loved so much and took so much pride in. He was described by long time co-workers as a gentle giant and could fix anything you put in front of him. He will leave a lasting legacy and an empty space that will be impossible to fill.
Ben was proceeded in death by his wife of 43 years Christina L. Davenport (Fracasso), his brother Curtis Davenport and his brother Bill Craven.
Ben is survived by his only son Charles E. Davenport, granddaughter Carly Davenport, brother Andrew (Donna) Craven, sister Donna (Larry) Marshall, sister-in-law Michelle Rogers, beloved pets Midnight and Tiny, long time friends Bob Parish and John Stertzer Sr., many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Baptist Church located at 470 Groveport Road Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. Pastor Dr. Tracy Fowler will be speaking at the service.
