Billie Debosse Kelley, born November 27, 1948. Passed away August 28, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio to Josephine Kelley Hall and Eugene Barrett. Preceded in death by grandmother Willie Clyde Kelley, mother Josephine Kelley Hall, father Eugene Barrett Sr., sons Juan Romero Kelley and Robert Cecli Kelley, sister Leigh (Robert) Enoex, brothers Eugene “Butch” Barrett Jr, and Rodney Evans. Survived by uncle Michael Kelley Sr., her siblings Lowanna (Ted) Owens, Michaelyn (Dennis) Bourne, Kimberly Sheppard, Melanie(Terrance) Cox, Dylan (Paula) Barrett, and Carla Goddard. Daughter Erica Anderson, Grandchildren Andrew (Melissa) Green, Alexis Kelley, Elijah Jackson, Robert Kelley, Teaira Simpson, and Journee Anderson. Great granddaughter Addison Salyer. Special Cousin Terri Kelley, Best friends Diane Haley and Ida Mae Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Billie loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She loved to watch detective shows, play pickle ball, baking, cooking, and shopping. She attended East High School and graduated from Central High School. She also attended Columbus State and Franklin University. Billie retired from Franklin County Court of Common Pleas as a court stenographer and worked state, federal, county, and city jobs for a combined 37 years. Billie loved to sing in the choir from her childhood to church choirs, she was a longtime member of Columbus Bible Way church and sang in the choir. Billie was also an avid softball player, she played growing up and for her work team through DCSC as an adult. She spent a lot of her retirement caregiving for her granddaughter Journee; keeping her while she was a preemie the first 4 months, transporting her to and from school, reading and helping her with homework. Even fighting cancer she didn't let that stop her from helping with Journee.
