Boyd R Winans

Boyd R. Winans, age 78, of Westerville, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026. He was born on November 19, 1947, and lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep faith, and a love of learning. Boyd dedicated part of his professional life to the Ohio Historical Society, where he contributed to preserving the stories and heritage of his home state. His career was cut short following a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, a challenge he faced with resilience and grace. A man of simple joys and profound devotion, Boyd found his greatest happiness in reading. Whether history, theology, or fiction, books were his constant companions. His faith was central to his life, and he rarely missed a Sunday worship service, where he found comfort and community alongside his dear friend, Paul Vierow. Boyd treasured his friendships deeply. He shared many meaningful moments with Monica Rhoden of Lewis Center and Kendra Snodgrass of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Time spent with those he cared about brought him lasting joy and connection. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and unwavering faith. Boyd’s life serves as a reminder of the power of perseverance, friendship, and devotion. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
