Brooks Stanley Martin

Brooks Stanley Martin, 43, of Bellefontaine, OH, passed away unexpectedly October 6, 2025 in Columbus, OH. Brooks was born in Bellefontaine, OH on October 3, 1982 to the late Anna (Bolling) and Edward Martin. Brooks was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents Charlotte and Edward Martin, maternal grandparents Persie and Albert Bolling, nephew Justin Tucker, as well as numerous aunts and uncles. Brooks is survived by his biggest pride and joy, his son Carson Martin, sisters Lee (Luke) Tucker, Charlotte (Andy) Hannah, nieces Kylee Tucker and Kennedy Hannah, Aunts Kym (Rick) Bolling and Sue (Bob) Ball, Great Aunt Oletha “Toot” (Allen) Butler, numerous beloved cousins, and his bonus children, Riley and Quinn Peterson. A 2001 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School and Ohio Hi Point Career Center, Brooks became an electrician right out of high school and remained one until his death, serving in many capacities in the field. Brooks was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, as well as the Michigan Wolverines, and he also loved to fish. Brooks was a family man, and would be the first to help out any of his beloved family members, of which there were many. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Brooks that will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 1:30 to 5:30 at The Lodge at Camp Myeerah, located at 7405 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, OH. The Celebration of Life for Brooks will be a casual celebration, and a formal dress code is not necessary. Please wear comfortable clothes, as that is what he would have preferred. Brooks, who always thought that sports were a way to bring people together, would have loved to see us all united for one last game. In the spirit of that, please wear gear representing the Bengals, Michigan, or your personal favorite team. Memorial contributions are in the care of the funeral home.
