Carey Columbus Jones III

Carey C. Jones, III, was born on June 3, 1947, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late parents, Carey C. Jones, Jr. and Louise Williams Jones. He entered the Lord’s presence on September 9, 2023. His life was a testament to compassion, dedication, and unwavering love. He married the love of his life Evelyn (Doll Baby) Lewis Jones on June 8, 1990. As we mourn his passing, we reflect on the legacy he leaves behind a host of family and friends.

He completed his high school education at Kempsville High School, Virginia Beach, Virginia and continued his college education at Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia.

After relocating to Columbus, Ohio, he was employed with General Motors. Carey was a natural entrepreneur. He owned and operated CC’s Carry Out located on Lilley Avenue, Columbus, Ohio and Shoe Artist located in the Western Hotel (Downtown Columbus, Ohio) until he retired in 2007.
