Carole Ann Hayes was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on 1-25-1939 and passed on 9-1-24 in Columbus, Oh. She was born to the late John Millard Hayes and Thelma Beatrice Kirkpatrick. Preceded in death by her parents and good friend Betty Green. Also worked at Huntington Clothiers & Shirtmakers for 16 years plus Stofcheck Ambulance Service in Delaware, Marion & Marysville for 8 years.

Carole was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, but was especially devoted to the United Methodist Church for All People on Parsons Avenue where she served many years as Chair of Church Council, sang in the choir, served on Prayer Shawl Ministry, and greeted people at the door. She also volunteered with the Horizon Prison Ministry where she was well loved by the men in blue at Chillicothe Correctional Institution. Her joy, enthusiasm, and spontaneity (including the never-to-be-forgotten robot dance) made everyone feel accepted and loved.

Fun times included living for the Lord, coaching women’s basketball & the men in blue, attending OSU Women’s Basketball games and watching OSU Football games. Her love for nature took her on many camping and canoe trips where she perfected her loon call and enjoyed singing the frog song.
