Charles Bateman

BATEMAN

Charles A. Bateman (Chuck), age 81.  Born 9/19/33 to Richard and Gettus Bateman, passed away on 8/31/15.  Preceded in death by Margaret, his wife of 54 years, son John, 3 brothers, and two sisters.  He is survived by son Charles (Gilda), daughter Molly Ann, Daughter-in-law Susan, Grandchildren Brian, Joseph, Jessica,  and Michael, 8 great grandchildren,  many nieces,  nephews, extended family and friends.

Chuck is a United States Army veteran, served in the Korean War and retired from Alcatel (Lucent Technologies/Western Electric). He enjoyed the outdoors,  gardening, planting and playing euchre.  He loved Ohio State football, basketball, and enjoyed tinkering around with old cars.  He loved his family and was a wonderful example to us all.

A memorial will be held on Tuesday  9/08/15 from 5 to 7 at Shaw Davis Victorian Village.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice in Chuck's name.  Private burial will take place at Union Cemetery on a later date.
