Charles Michael Drewry, 69, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 23, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1957, to William Drewry and Nancy Drewry, both of whom preceded him in death.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he spent many dedicated years working for the Volunteers Of America, where he retired after a long career of service to others.
Charles enjoyed the simple and steady rhythms of life. He was known for always having a Diet Coke nearby and could often be found taking walks, mowing his lawn, spending time with his close friends, or reading books. Charles had a love of music, especially the Blues. He valued connection, routine, and the people in his life.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Drewry (Samantha) and Charles Drewry (Vanessa); his brother, Patrick Drewry (Pam); his sister, Cathleen Sinclair (John); and his brother, Billy Drewry (Sharon). He was a proud grandfather to Novalee Drewry and is also lovingly remembered as a grandfather-to-be Serenity Drewry. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
Charles will be remembered for his service to his country, his years of dedication at the Volunteers Of America, and the quiet, steady presence he brought to the lives of those who knew him.
