Charlie Michael Burleson

Charles Michael Burleson, age 21, of Columbus passed peacefully on July 30, 2025 after a 2year, hard fought battle with cancer. Charlie was named after his great grandfather. He was a sweet, independent baby with an old soul. Family was all-important: he took pride in being a big brother to Drew and Ben, a loving son to Becca and Todd, and had a special love for his grandparents. 

Charlie's special friends include Grace Good, Alekz Hazelwood, Mason and Mav Minor, Jake and Wes Burgess, Ellis and Caden Carfagna, and Ben Dragna.

Charlie's love of sports- especially baseball, fishing, and golf- were unmatched, as was his competitive spirit. He was an incredible teammate and coach's dream, on and off the field. While the COVID years dampened his high school experience, he and his friends made the most of it. His freshman year at Ohio University was one of his best, and future time there was cut short by his diagnosis. 

Services for Charlie will be held at North Broadway UMC on Thursday, August 7th at 2pm, followed by a celebration of life at the Clintonville Woman's Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to The James Cancer Hospital are appreciated.
