Cheryl Lynn Marcum

Cheryl Lynn Marcum, 75, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at Country View of Sunbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Cheryl will be forever remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

She was born on September 23, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Thomas E. and Wilma E. (Doelker) Manderschied I, and remained a lifelong resident of Northeast Columbus.

Cheryl’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with her children and grandchildren—her true source of happiness and pride.

She is survived by her son, Scott; daughter, Heidi (Mike) Wills; grandchildren, Shawna Marcum, Jacob Dever, Joey Schmidt, Joshua Marcum, and Kristina Marcum; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. Cheryl’s legacy continues through each of them, as they carry forward the love and values she instilled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. and Wilma E. Manderschied; her son, Anthony "Seon"; and her siblings, Tommy, Terri, and Anita.

Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, and she will always hold a special place in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

May she rest in peace, knowing she is, and always will be, dearly loved.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Country View of Sunbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Bella Care Hospice for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214, on Wednesday, June 18. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service from 11:00 a.m. to Noon. Interment will take place at Mifflin Cemetery, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
