Worthington

Christine Grant (Seton) Price, 87, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on May 26, 2025. Born in Manchester, England, to John and Alice Seton, she grew up in Oadby, Leicestershire where she lived when she met William “Bill” Price, an American serviceman from southern Ohio, based at RAF Bruntingthorpe. After marrying Bill, Christine returned with him to Ohio and the family settled in Grove City, where she was a resident for 65 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Russell Price, long-time companion, Henry “Buddy” Williams, brother, Stuart Seton, granddaughter, Sharlena Murden, and was devasted by the passing of her son, Russell “Rusty” Price.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Isla Price Murden, grandchildren, Rob (Tiffany), Nick, and Chelsea Murden, Derek (Olivia), and Erik (Kelli Ann) Price, and great-grandchildren, Freya, Presleigh, Wilder, Alexander, Jaxon, and Lainey Price. She is also survived by her siblings whom she deeply missed, sister, Isla (Errol) Matthews, brother, Ian (Sally) Seton, brother, Craig (Jean) Seton, all in England, and sister, Heather (Bob) Eisenman in California, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Christine became an Avon “Lady” in 1967 and continued as a representative until she became ill November of 2023. She maintained close friendships with many of her customers for over 55 years. She became certified as an interior decorator in 1982 and used these skills as a consultant and as Assistant Manager for Sherwin Williams in Grove City and was proud of her ability to match paint colors as well or better than their color-matching machine.

Christine had a love of nature, was skilled at creating beautiful plant and floral displays and gardens, and loved animals, enjoying raising birds and rescuing homeless cats, and is survived by her beloved Sweetie. She had hundreds of friends from all over the world who shared her love of parrots, often talking about their birds as if they were family. Christine was Mom, Granny, Great-Granny, beloved big sister to her younger siblings, and a friend to many and strongly believed in the right to speak her own mind. Although she was not a US citizen, she truly believed that “all men are created equal” and was dismayed that there has not been “liberty and justice for all”.

The family would like to thank her many friends for their love and support and for the loving care provided by the nurses and aides from Capital City Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held in late June. Donations may be made in Christine’s memory to your local animal shelter, and to her preferred charities: NationalHumaneSociety.org , SmileTrain.org , Feeding America.org , Mid-Ohio Foodbank at mofc.org , Oxfam.org , and PlannedParenthood.org.
