Dale is survived by his wife Sharon Richards Weiser of Columbus, Ohio, and their daughter, Michelle Elizabeth Weiser, of Los Angeles. In his early life, Dale was a Cub Scout and Four H participant, and often enjoyed camping. He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1976, where he was a linebacker on the football team and served as editor of the school newspaper and yearbook. He attended Herron School of Art at Indiana University in Indianapolis, graduating with a BFA in Visual Communications in 1981. While attending a sculpture class at Herron, he first saw schoolmate Sharon Richards, who became his wife of 41 years. Their connection began while on a school trip to Chicago in the spring of 1977. Dale and Sharon married in July of 1982 and moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1983. Their daughter, Michelle, was born in 1991. While living in Columbus, Dale worked as a graphic designer in the sign industry for over 40 years, creating essential signage throughout central Ohio from the Motorcycle Hall of Fame to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and many more. Dale was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a political expert, and a builder of model airplanes. He was also an avid lover of cinema, and passed this love down to his daughter. Many afternoons and evenings of his life were spent viewing and discussing movies of all kinds with his family. He was a present figure at all of his daughter’s creative and academic events throughout his entire life. Dale was a hard-working, steadfast, conscientious man who deeply and loyally loved those closest to him.
