In Loving Memory of Darryl Lamont Payne

Darryl Lamont Payne, 58, transitioned peacefully from this life on July 6, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born on December 2, 1967, to Emma Dean Payne, Darryl lived a life defined by love, resilience, and service to others. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Emma Dean Payne, and his cherished grandson, Amir Robinson.

Darryl leaves behind a family who will forever treasure his memory: his loving partner, Tamica Pollard; his sons, D’Angelo Scott, Dajameous Payne, and Darrion Payne; his daughters, Alisa Payne and Dierrea Payne; his beloved grandchildren, Damari, Pharaoh, Amiyah, Nova, and Charlie; his brothers, Christopher Payne and Robert Payne; his former wife, Brenda Scott Payne; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness.

A self-taught jack of all trades, Darryl was known for his ability to fix just about anything. His quick wit, generous spirit, and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He loved his family fiercely and found great joy in lending a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, the love, laughter, wisdom, and countless memories he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
