Delmer W Davidson

Delmer Wiley Davidson Jr., affectionately known as “JR,” age 52, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2026, at 10:05 p.m. at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

JR was born on April 17, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio. He was the beloved son of Deborah May and Delmer Wiley Davidson Sr.

JR attended East High School and later earned his carpentry certification. He dedicated 35 years to working as a flooring specialist. JR was a devoted Ohio State football fan, and he loved spending time fishing and hunting.

JR is survived by his children Camden Scott, Harley Davidson, Isabella Davidson, Evan Davidson, Sophia Davidson, Savanna Caudill (Charles Ervin) and David Brumfield (Breanna Borders); his grandchildren Adalyn, Charlee, Aurora, and William; his mother Deborah May; his siblings, Eric Davidson and Melissa Davidson; his Uncle Russell and Aunt Terri; his granddogs Sugar, Escanor; he is also survived by many other family friends and loved ones.

JR was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Wiley Davidson Sr., and his grandparents, Robert May and Lorena May.

A service will take place on Friday September 11, 2026 at Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, 34 West Second Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43201 with a visitation from 4:00 - 5:30pm and a service from 5:30 - 6:00 pm.
