Donald Lloyd Cotter

Donald Lloyd Cotter, age 59 of Grove City, Ohio passed away September 14, 2026 at Grant Medical Center after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born on April 7, 1967 in Parsons, Kansas to Vance W. Cotter and Jeroline A. Cotter (Brown).

The youngest of 4, Don moved with his family from Parsons to the Columbus, Ohio area in 1971 and had recently moved to Grove City, Ohio with his longtime girlfriend Tina Evey.

He attended Upper Arlington schools, graduating in 1985. He worked in construction for many years and for the City of Dublin. He also worked for Ross Willoughby and most recently for America’s Floor Source.

Don loved fishing, spending much of his free time casting his line with his brother at Lake Choctaw. He enjoyed woodworking, creating beautiful furniture and gifts for his loved ones who he cherished spending time with.

As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching his beloved St Louis Cardinals, the Ohio State Buckeyes and even sticking by and cheering for the Cleveland Browns for years, which showed his true love for a team.

He will be remembered for all these things but mostly for his contagious laugh and his big smile.

Don is survived by his partner Tina Evey, mother Jeroline Cotter, brother Richard Cotter, sister Pamela Cotter, nieces Jennifer (Michael) Jimison, Brandi (Brian) Cordell, grand-nieces Emma and Kaitlyn Jimison, nephew Nicholas Kyre and many cousins. He is proceeded in death by his father Vance Cotter, sister in law Sharon Cotter, sister Cindy Kyre, as well as his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
