Donald George Stoffer, 75, of Worthington, Ohio and Naples, Florida passed away in Worthington on February 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 23, 1949, Donald is predeceased by his parents Mary (Krajci) and Jospeh Stoffer and his beloved rescue Labrador Retrievers, Moses and Toby.
He is survived by his brother Kenneth Stoffer and his finance Cookie Hoffmeyer, sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Jay Morris, and sister Sherri Belski, who all provided unwavering love and support during his illness. Donald, also known as “UD” (Uncle Donald) was much loved by his several nieces, great nieces and great nephew.
Donald attended Holy Family Catholic grade school in Poland Ohio, proudly serving as a faithful altar boy, and was a 1967 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown. He went on to attend The Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1972.
After college, Donald became a sales representative with many established sporting goods lines and later joined with his brother Kenneth in forming Realty Executives Central, a well-known northwest Columbus real estate agency.
He was a lifetime member of the Cardinal Mooney and Ohio State University alumni associations. Donald was also the recipient of numerous real estate awards and belonged to many local and national real estate organizations. He attended Center Point Community Church of Naples, and Ohio places of worship.
Donald was an avid history buff and enjoyed traveling, including to such places as Israel, Europe, Greece, Hawaii, Africa, Alaska and Mexico.
Donald will be remembered fondly as sweet and funny, kind and generous. He was a true person of faith and in his belief in God. He will forever be missed by his family and many friends.
Donald will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in his hometown of Poland, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.
