     We are heartbroken to share the news of Jane Coffield, 89, of Plain City, Ohio, who passed

away July 21, 2025 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, after a devastating diagnosis of

Stage 4 Cancer. She was born May 30, 1936 in Wegee, Ohio to Raymond and Mildred Glasow.

Jane grew up and attended school in Shadyside, Ohio, graduating from high school in 1954.

She furthered her education at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, where she earned her teaching

degree. Jane began teaching in Brilliant, Ohio and after 31 years in a field she adored, she

retired from Groveport Madison Elementary, Columbus, Ohio. In her free time she enjoyed

playing Bridge with friends. Playing Board and Card Games with her family, which was

frequently and laughter always erupted. Sewing and Flower Arranging were also great

passions. But most of all, her greatest joys in life were her 3 Grandchildren, Corey, Alex and

Tori.

     She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Harry Coffield; Son: Thomas 'Tom' (Kerry)

Coffield; Daughter: Kristen (Hope Allen-Canfield) Coffield-Canfield; Grandsons: Corey Coffield,

Alexander 'Alex' (Victoria 'Tori') Mramor, Ryan Bowen (Victoria 'Vic' Stratford). Brother and

Sister-in Law: James and Suzanne Glasow, Nephew and Niece: R. Michael (Tanya) Glasow).

Best Friend of 70 years: Dot Howard. Plus several other extended family members and friends.

     Preceded in death by her Parents; Raymond and Mildred Glasow, Sister; Jean Curry, Brothers;

Jack Barlow and Jerry Glasow, Nephew; Kim Curry, Aunt; Virginia (Pat) Stillion, Dear Friends;

Pat Lewis and Helen Nugent.

     A service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 with visitation from

2-3pm and service from 3-4pm, Pastor Don Eger officiating, at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home

Clintonville. 4341 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214.

     The Family would like to thank everyone at Riverside Hospital Neurology, on floor 6-Silver (Tye

we love you), and at Kobacker House, for their kindness and compassion and for the

exceptional care that Jane received.
