Elmer Raymond Price III

March 2, 1961 — May 4, 2024

Elmer “Colt” Raymond Price III, born March 2, 1961, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, at home with his wife and doggies by his side.   At the young age of 15, Elmer started his career as an iron worker.   His career took him to participate in the building of Nationwide Plaza I and II in downtown Columbus, Ohio, along with working at Fortin Iron Works and Steal Erectors International and many other companies.  His job took him all over the state of Ohio and eventually started his own company, Slam Iron Welding, which was very successful for six years.  He also survived two hurricanes in Florida!   Unfortunately, Elmer suffered a massive stroke 16 years ago which resulting in him no longer able to work on iron, which was his passion.  Elmer was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Evelyn Mays, father Elmer Raymond Price II, mother Evelyn Morton, uncle Thomas Gill and sister Tina.  Elmer was survived by his wife Anna Price, brother Doug Price, daughter Nina (Eric) Price, son Joshua Price, 16 grandchildren, niece Janell (Michael) West and many other sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.   Elmer was also survived by very close family friends Jack & Rene Schultz, Monica Estrada, Monica Fox, Angela Kowalski and Yvette Wright along with numerous close friends.  The family would like to give a very special thanks to Capital City Hospice and Patient Home Healthcare for their dedicated care for Elmer.  A Celebration of Life event will follow at a later date.
