Eugene Howard Blain

Eugene H. Blain (Gene) got his wings on February 19 2026 at 7:35 a.m. at The Smith Mill Heath Campus at New Albany, Oh. Gene was surrounded by his Loving and Cherished family, after a 6yr battle with Parkinson's, and most of his adult life with Diabetes and Heart Issues.

Born in Blendon Township, Westerville, Ohio to Eugene W and Helen F(Peters) Blain. Gene leaves behind a loving faimly. Wife caregiver and nurse Harriet(Rader)Blain, Daughter Teresa (Melvin)Urick of Pataskala, OH; Son Robert E Blain (Kim Painter) of Whitehall, OH; Becky S Coey (Donald Coey deceased) of Utica, Oh. 4 Grandchildren, 4 Step Grandchildren; 17 Great grandchildren; Many many Loving Nephews and Nieces

Mr. Blain had to quit school while in the 11th grade to care for his illing parents. Gene attended Licking Heights High Scool of Summit Station, Oh. Gene worked his early adult life scrapping with his father which he enjoyed doing even up to his death.

Mr. Blain later went on to do Maintenance work for various companies. 1980 Mr.Blain surrender to Ministry taking his family to Pineville,Ky to attend the Clear Creek Bible College (CCBC). While attending CCBC he worked part time as a Patient registery for emergency room at Pineville Community Hospital, Later as a full time Turn Key for Bell Co Jail.

Mr. Blain and wife Harriet later went on to do Missionary work at the Onida Baptist Institute for award children from all types of life and all over the world preschool through 12th grade. While here he helped teaching one on one with students in different subjects in his wife's class preschool though 5th grade. From time to time Mr. Blain would get pulled from class to drive the school van to take children n a guardian to either a doctor or dentist appointment and after school drive the school bus to sporting events.

Mr. Blain over all enjoyed life he could carry on a conversation with anyone and everyone no matter their age. He loved tinkering around his garage and yard work. He just love staying busy.

Mr. Blain was proceeded in death by his father Eugene W and mother Helen (Peters) Blain; 2 sons Richard L and Ivan L Blain; 2 grand-daughters Ashley M and Alyssa N Blain; 3 sisters Charlotte (Blain) James Cantleberry.

Helen (Blain) Abe Miller and Ruth (Blain) Ralph Wood.
