On Thursday, May 2, 2025, Frederick Martin Weimer, Sr., loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather (who went by Pa), and friend, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the age of 87.
Frederick was born on May 21, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles and Thelma (Gorslene) Weimer. On March 6, 1960 he married Jean Ann Phinney. They raised two sons, Daniel (Dan) and Frederick, Jr. (Fred), and countless Shetland Sheepdogs that Frederick was so fond of.
Frederick had a passion as a family man. He was always attentive, loving, and always there for his family. Frederick also loved camping, being involved in his church community, and his two favorite sports teams – the Chicago Cubs and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Frederick proudly graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1957. Afterwards, he served six-years in the Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1963. He retired from General Electric in 1999.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents (Charles, Sr. and Thelma), his brother Chuck (Charles, Jr.), his two sons Dan and Fred, and brother-in-law Ralph. He is survived by his wife Jean, his sister Dorothy, his daughter-in-laws Denise and Sandy, and his grandchildren Natalie, Nicholas (Shelley), Justin (Rachael), and Garrett (Lisa).
