Glennis Anderson

October 4, 1952 — April 4, 2020

Born October 4, 1952 to Lewis Wiley Anderson Sr. and Louise Marieah Anderson (Peaks) in Ingram Branch, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020 at Mill Run Gardens Care Center.

Glen graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School and Eastland Vocational School in 1972 that served as the foundation for his career as an accomplished electrician, following his enlistment in the US Navy. Most of his commission was upon the USS Newport News, after which he married his high school sweetheart Deborah in 1976. As a proud Vietnam veteran, he later continued his service on his prized Harley Trike as an Honor Guard member of the Chillicothe-based American Legion.

A beloved father, soulmate, brother and family member, Glen was affectionately known as Daddy-O, Daddy, Popps, PawPaw, Brother Glen, and Glennie. He is survived by his children Shanel and Maurice Anderson, Corey Anderson, grandsons Marshaun and Kameren Garrett, “Anderson Brothers" Lewis, Billy Gene (Sandy), Tim (Rocky), and Terry, beloved great aunts and uncles, many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Arrangements were handled by Shaw Davis Funeral Home. Glen's cremains will be laid to rest with military honors at Greenlawn Cemetery (1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, OH 43223) on Friday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with Celebration of Life to follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Community Room at Heart of Ohio Family Health - Capital Park located at 2365 Innis Road Columbus, OH 43224; please drive around to the back for Community Room access. In consideration of everyone in attendance, masks will be required.
