STANLEY

Gregory Stanley, age 61 of Columbus, formerly of Chicago, Illinois died Friday, June 19, 2015 at the James Cancer Hospital.  He fought a long and hard battle, and always kept his sense of humor.  Greg retired from Central Ohio Transport Authority after 20 years of service.  He was an Army/Navy veteran.  Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lavilla (Gillespie) Stanley, brother Jerry Stanley, and sister Joan Stanley.  Survived by his loving wife of 24 years Tillie Stanley, stepson John E. (Kimberly) Blankenship, brothers Timothy Stanley and Larry (Jackie) Stanley, grandsons Lee and Tommy, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Proceedings at a later date will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
