Henry Lee Berryman

March 16, 1970 — February 23, 2026

Henry Lee Berryman, age 55, of Columbus and Gahanna, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at OhioHealth Kobacker House, following a courageous battle with end-stage renal disease.

Henry was born on March 16, 1970, in Youngstown to Henry Lee Sr. and Gertrude “Trudy” Berryman. From an early age, Henry’s gentle spirit, generosity, and deep compassion for others were evident to all who knew him.

Henry devoted most of his professional career to the financial industry, faithfully serving in various roles throughout the years. He found purpose in helping others navigate important financial decisions and was known for his integrity, patience, and genuine care for the people he served. His most recent position was as a manager at LCNB Bank in Worthington, Ohio, where he continued doing the work he loved until his health declined.

A devoted man of faith, Henry faithfully attended Oasis City Church. He was a dedicated prayer warrior who consistently lifted up family, friends, and those in need. His faith anchored his life, and his prayers brought comfort and strength to many.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee Sr. and Gertrude “Trudy” Berryman.

He is survived by his only brother, Eric Berryman (Roseanne “Rose”) of California, and his beloved nephews and niece Eric Jr., Brandon, and Alyssa Berryman. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunt, Bertha Thomas, and his cousin, Cheryl Ragland.

Though he was unmarried, Henry was richly blessed with a Columbus chosen family — relationships he intentionally built and lovingly claimed as his own. He leaves behind his chosen son, Anthony; his chosen daughter, Tiana Jones; his chosen grandsons that he adored, Amir and Xavier Jones; his special friend, Corsaundra Jones; and the sisters he chose — La’Tonya Stinchcomb (William) and Charito Kofer-Harrison (Norman). Though not related by birth, these bonds were deeply meaningful and defined by love, loyalty, and shared life. He also leaves a host of other dedicated friends and extended family members who were part of his chosen circle and loved him dearly.

Henry’s life was a testament to quiet strength, faithful service, and unconditional love. He had a remarkable way of making others feel valued, supported, and covered in prayer. Whether through his work, his faith, or the family he chose and cherished, he poured into people wholeheartedly. His absence leaves a profound void, but his legacy of kindness, devotion, and steadfast faith will continue to shine through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at StrongPoint Church, 392 Maplewood Ave. Whitehall, Ohio.
