Jacey Louise Knapp, 21 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 23, 2021. She was at home surrounded by her family. Jacey was born November 24,1999 to Janet Turner (Knapp) and James Knapp. She is survived by her brothers James (Erica) Knapp Jr, Jaret Knapp, Coty (Whitney) Bays, sister Jasmine (Jamar) Knapp, and sister/cousin Allexus (Dustin) Scott. Nephews Isaiah Dixon & Jamar Mobley Jr (Baby Marley). Nieces Ariyanna Dixon-Knapp, Layla Knapp, & Kailani Knapp. Grandmothers Jacqueline Turner & Jessie Ruggles. Preceded in death by her grandmother Joenita Knapp.
Jacey attended Como Elementary, Dominion Middle, Whetstone High, & Focus Learning Academy. She was a cheerleader & played softball for NIAA League and the NCS League. She was involved in numerous other activities and participated in anything she could. Jacey had the most beautiful smile that would light up a room, and the kindest heart that would melt yours. She was the loudest in the room, and the life of the party, just like her mother. She was a fighter, but could be the quietest too, just like her father.
She was so full of life and loved her family so much, as well as her friends, but the love she had for her nephews and nieces was so bright it could blind you, and just melt your heart. They were her motivation and her everything. Jacey was the neighborhood’s & everyone’s baby. She was loved by so many, and will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We will forever carry her in our hearts. Her nieces and nephews will always be reminded of how much she loved and adored them. Our princess is now our angel that has gained her wings, up in heaven, watching over us all.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate to Jacey’s funeral fund, please donate directly to the family.
