James Barker Sr

James Martin Barker, Sr. of Columbus, OH passed away at Franklin Woods Nursing Home on September 29, 2016. Jim was born on February 19, 1933 in Logan, WV to the late Leslie and Ellen (Vargo) Barker. He owned Barney’s Body Shop for over 50 years. Jim graduated from Logan High School in 1950, and he loved to go back for the reunions and to dance at them. He married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Louise (Spears) Barker in 1952. Jim was preceded in death by 1 sister and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Louise; 4 sons, James (Bobbie) Jr, Roger, Bethel (Terry) and Mike (Janet); several grandkids and great grandkids; several nieces and nephews. His wishes were to be cremated with no services. There will be a graveside service in Logan, WV at a later date. Arrangements provided by Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes.
