James Burleson

James “Jim” Burleson, age 76, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 after a short illness.

Jim was born on October 5, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio and was a graduate of Linden-McKinley high school.  He loved and served the Lord as an enthusiastic member of Genoa Baptist Church  He was owner-operator of Burleson Cartage and an employee of the City of Westerville. He enjoyed fishing, impromptu trips to Amish Country and was an accomplished woodworker.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Ralph Burleson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue, daughter, Shelly, son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Kelly and grandsons, Matthew (Morgan), Michael and Zachary.

Service to honor Jim’s life will be held on Sunday August 30, 2020 at Genoa Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and family from 1 pm to 3 pm.  Funeral service will begin at 3 pm

A graveside memorial will be held at noon on Monday August 31, 2020 at Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genoa Church ( www.genoachurch.org )
