Jeffrey V Horger

Jeff Horger, age 58, passed away at his home in Columbus, Ohio on Monday, July 20, 2026 after a long illness. He was born born 25, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio to Verghn and Dorthy Horger.

Jeff was a graduate of Tree of Life High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a member of Hilliard Church of Christ.

Jeff’s life was centered around his board game world. Jeff’s love of gaming began in childhood with war games and Dungeons and Dragon’s. Jeff and his wife Carla were a team, designing and publishing board games through their company, Laboratory H.

Jeff was a long time member of the Columbus Area Board gaming Society (CABS), where he also served as a board member. Jeff had many friends in the gaming world, and he will be greatly missed.

Jeff enjoyed gaming, soccer, cooking, photography, and spending time with his Cow-Chow, Han.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Carla Horger, as well as father Verghn and Dorothy Horger, and his first chow-chow, Bruin.

Jeff is survived by his sister Carol (Rick) Bull of Delaware, Ohio, niece Kaitlyn Bull of Toledo, Ohio, nephew Evan (Courtney) Bull and great nephew Cooper of Marion, Ohio.
