Jeffrey Campbell Linn, aged 72, of South Bloomfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Riverside Methodist Hospital on April 18, 2025, after a very rough battle with cancer. Throughout the early 1980s, he was a prominent member of the local band Goldrush, where he showcased his talents on the guitar and singing. His musical prowess was admired by many, and didn't just stop with guitar, he was also great on the piano as well, as he made playing complex tunes seem effortless. Beyond music, Jeffrey had an immense affection for animals, particularly his cats, who were a central part of his life over the years.

Jeffrey leaves behind a loving family who will miss him deeply. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Cleavenger and her husband Todd Luster; granddaughter Alexis Detty; great-granddaughter Raelinn Detty; brother D. Scott Linn; and sister Johanna Linn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. and Rosemary (Brown) Linn; sisters Sally Helwagen and Susannah Kellough; and his cherished cats Smedley, Thomas, and Junior.

A celebration of Jeffreys life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and the profound impact he had on those around him. His legacy will be remembered through the stories shared by those who knew him best and the music that he loved so dearly.
