Jeremiah Daniel Spires

Jeremiah Daniel Spires, age 40, passed away on May 11, 2025. He was born on May 11, 1985, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, to Peggy Spires. He excitedly joined the United States Army in 2004, right out of high school. Proudly serving for 3.5 years. He was stationed in South Korea and Colorado and was deployed to Iraq in 2006. He married Erin A. Spires on March 24, 2006, in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. They have 2 beautiful children, Aidan D. Spires, 17, and Teagan R. Spires, 14. He worked as a mail carrier and went on to be a mechanic for The United States Postal Service. Jeremiah loved the outdoors, hunting, history and watching his beloved Buckeyes. He found the most peace spending time with his family. He loved talking history and video games with Aidan, looking at the stars and planets with Teagan and going to Hilton Head Island with Erin and the kids. Jeremiah was proceeded in death by his mom, Peggy Spires. He is survived by his children, Aidan, and Teagan; his wife Erin; his sister Alice; his aunts and uncles, many cousins, and his dog Gatlin.

A service will be held on June 11, 2025, at The Dayton National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
