It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerome DeWayne Chandler on May 31, 2026. Born on July 22, 1975, in Killeen, Texas, Jerome lived a life filled with love, strength, and devotion to his family. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.
Before his passing, Jerome endured the heartbreaking loss of his mother, Charlin Montgomery-Crawford. We find comfort in knowing that they are now reunited in eternal peace.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Lumpkin C. Crawford (Charmaine); his two brothers, Ricky O. Montgomery (Rolanda) and Cornelius B. Crawford (Alicia); his two sisters, LaShonda Chandler-Marshall (Jake) and Lisa Chandler-Magee (Curtis), who provided unwavering love and support throughout his life's journey.
Jerome's memory will forever be celebrated by his beloved daughters, Londyn Chandler and Shaniyah Smith, who will always hold their father's love in their hearts. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, Niyale A. Sanders, along with many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and a special friend Shaunte Scott who stood by his side through the joys and trials of life.
Throughout his life, Jerome embodied strength, resilience, and perseverance. Those who knew him will remember him for his unwavering love for his family and his caring spirit. He leaves behind not only cherished memories, but also a legacy of love, faith, resilience, and unbreakable family bonds.
As we bid farewell to Jerome, we celebrate the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation for the love and support shown by Excellent Covenant Powerhouse Ministries of Killeen, Texas, Bishop Nero, the pastoral staff, the choir, and the church members who extended Christ-like love during this difficult time of grief. We are also deeply thankful to everyone who brought meals and flowers and to those who offered prayers, encouragement, and spiritual support.
May Jesus continue to bless you as you bless others.
