Joan Janien Kettell

Joan Janien Kettell (nee. Sauer) Sauer passed from this world on 12/27/2024, peacefully in her sleep while at home in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on 11/9/1939 to William Henry Sauer and Rosezella Lucille Sauer (nee. Markwood) in Columbus, Ohio. Joan was surrounded by loved ones and friends in her last days after battling colon cancer. 

She is preceeded in death by both parents, brothers Ronald and Paul, and half-brothers Donald and Kenneth. 

Joan is survived by brother Frank (Subrina), daughters Janet, Vicki, and Dawn (Gordon), step-daughters Joy, and Chrissy, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and family. 

 Many thanks to Joan's daughters Vicki and Dawn for around the clock end of life care, and to Capital City Hospice. 

 Creamation services provided by Shaw-Davis funeral home. 

 Services to be held at Central College Presbyterian on 1/25/25.
