John Vincent (Jack) Redden passed to his heavenly home May 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Born in Columbus to Robert and Ruth Redden, he was raised by his grandparents, Clyde and Laurabelle Reed, all who preceded him in death. In 1952 John (Jack) joined the US Airforce, later married his wife, Marilyn Martin. Sons Allen and David have also gone ahead of him to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Marilyn, daughters June and Carolyn, both of Columbus; Eugene (Gene) (Vickie), Jacksonville, Florida; grandsons Christopher and Joshua of Hamburg, Germany and Matthew (Matt), Columbus; brother James (Jim); nieces, nephews and many good friends. John (Jack) and Marilyn have been active in the Christian Church all of their married lives where he served as elder, deacon, and children's Bible teacher. He and Marilyn are members and currently at Worthington Christian Church. He accepted Christ as his Savior early in life. Active supporters of Worthington Christian Village Retirement Center since its beginning in 1985, they have resided there over 25 years. John retired as controller of Atlantique Industry. Thursday, June 12, John (Jack) will be buried at the Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus at 2:30 pm. And all are welcome to come. A memorial service will be held at the Worthington Christian Village Saturday, June 14, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, Jack suggested that any remembrance be given to Worthington Christian Village Benevolent Fund, 165 Highbluffs Blvd., Columbus OH, 43235 or Worthington Christian Church, 8145 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43235.
