John William Leo Rorabaugh Jr.

John W. L. Rorabaugh, Jr. was a caring father, son, father-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle, with his family by his side, John peacefully went home to heaven to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior on, July 15, 2026 at the age of 61. He was born November 24, 1964 in Oscoda, Michigan.

John Spent most of his time with family; fishing with his daughter and sons, watching the Buckeyes, Steelers, and Reds, and playing cars and bubbles with his great-nephews. John was fun and loving, and would help anyone with anything. Anyone that knew John, knew he was a great father that loved his children, and was a great son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, and he never met a stranger.

John’s passion was fishing and sports. He was on various softball leagues; where his cousin and brother were his teammates, and he also enjoyed coaching and cheering on his daughter and son’s softball and baseball teams, and showing and teaching his youngest son how to use tools, and to use and fix computers.

John is survived by his 3 children, Jessica Rorabaugh, Jake (Liz) Rorabaugh, and Alex Rorabaugh, Mother, Diana, brother Tim (Karen) Rorabaugh, sister Diana (Mike) Willis, nieces Hilary (Jake) Raab, Morgan (Daphne) Goddard, Miranda Goddard, Marissa Rorabaugh, nephew Zachary (Chasity) Willis, great-nephews Lucas, Theo, and Elias, and numerous cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, John W.L. Rorabaugh, Sr, and his Aunt Karen Layton.

Friends and family may gather for a celebration of life at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, Clintonville Chapel on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00am-1:00pm, at 4341 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio, 43214. A gathering will be held immediately following the service where friends and family are welcome. There will be no graveside service.
