In Loving Memory of Jonathan Charles Ruton

Jonathan Charles Ruton, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on October 27, 2026.

Jonathan was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and great-grandfather whose presence meant so much to the people who knew and loved him. He was known for his humor, his loving heart, and his unwavering willingness to be there for the people he cared about. Jonathan was someone his family could count on, a man who stood beside his loved ones through life’s ups and downs.

Above all, Jonathan deeply loved his wife of 30 years, Sandra Ruton. Their life together was filled with shared moments, companionship, and a love that was evident in the life they built together. Whether they were watching television side by side or simply enjoying the comfort of being together, those everyday moments were a special part of their life.

Jonathan enjoyed fishing, playing computer games, and spending quiet evenings watching television with his wife. He found happiness in the simple things in life, especially the time he spent with his family. His sense of humor and loving nature brought joy to those around him, and his loyalty to the people he loved was a part of who he was.

Jonathan is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Ruton; his children, Wendi Armolt (Ben) and David Ruton (Suni); his stepdaughters, Melissa Thompson-Kline (Adam), Amber Phelps (Daniel), and Sherri Thompson; and his many grandchildren, who were an important part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ruton and Marybelle Ruton, and his stepdaughter, Kayla Thompson.

Jonathan leaves behind a family who loved him, memories that will be cherished for years to come, and a space in their lives that can never truly be filled. Though his time here has ended, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless ways he stood by his family will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
