Judith Lynn Mathis

Judy L Mathis was born June 6, 1960 to Jim and Jane Thorne. She passed away peacefully October 6, 2025 at Kobacker House. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Ann Thorne. She is survived by brothers Jim and Jeff; nephew Brandon (Mary); nieces Christine (Anton), and Jessica (Drew); seven great nephews; many special friends, coworkers and neighbors; sister-in-law Becky Thorne; and "sister" from another mother Sue Ford.

Judy recently retired from Nationwide Children's Hospital Center for Family Safety and Healing. Judy was an animal lover, especially dogs. She was preceded in death by her beloved dogs Bear, Mickey, Hershey, Thorne, and Judge. Judy was an organ donor and was able to fulfill that gift in death.

Service to be held Thursday October 23rd at 2pm at Union Cemetery Chapel B. In lieu of flowers Judy preferred donations to be made to Sunrise Sanctuary Marysville or Columbus Humane Society.
