Kathryn Farynowski

Kathryn (Kay) Farynowski passed away on September 23, 2026. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Johnson, Kathryn Farynowski, and Tom Farynowski, grandchildren Andrew Johnson and Benjamin Farynowski, great grandchildren Hannah, Evan and James, and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her much-beloved husband Edmund, parents Ethel and Robert Endress, sisters Wilma Kauffman and Neva Ladner, and brothers DeLyle and Mike Endress.

Kay was born on Palm Sunday 1929 in Warren, Pennsylvania. She attended Grove City College where she met Ed, the love of her life. They were married in Warren in 1950. After 40 years in Pennsylvania, General Electric brought the family to Circleville where Kay and Ed spent the rest of their days and came to love the town. Kay was active in the Presbyterian Church including as an Elder, Deacon and Trustee, President of the Newcomers Club, an accomplished bridge player, Berger Hospital volunteer, and Treasurer of the Pickaway County Historical Society among her many interests and contributions to the community.

Following Ed’s death Kay continued a full life, travelling the world, visiting family, and staying active in the community. If money needed to be managed, Kay was there to do the job – from Secretary at St Phillips Episcopal Church to the Kiwanis Pumpkin Show Pancake booth. Later in life she was enriched by becoming a dear friend of Bud Brehmer.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 28 at 11:00 AM at the Circleville Presbyterian Church, 134 E. Mound Street. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, Kay requested donations be made to the Circleville Presbyterian Church.
