Kezhuang Fu

Kezhuang Fu, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home on February 14, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in Beijing, China, on August 21, 1932, to her father, Zuoyi Fu, and her mother, Yunsheng Liu, who preceded her in death.

As the eldest daughter in her family, Kezhuang grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and care for others, often helping to raise and guide her younger siblings. This early role shaped the gentle, steady, and nurturing presence she carried throughout her life.

She graduated with both a Bachelor’s degree in 1955 and a Master of Science in Meteorology in 1960. She made a great breakthrough in her scientific research at the beginning of her career at Peking University, before eventually focusing on teaching as an Associate Professor. She was deeply committed to education and took pride in her work as a teacher and mentor.

After retiring, she moved to the United States to join her husband. Over the years, she made homes in several states, including Colorado, Ohio, and New York, always centering her life around family.

Known for her soft-hearted nature, Kezhuang had a calm and comforting presence and a genuine desire to help others. She was a devoted daughter, a dutiful and nurturing elder sister, a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and a caring grandmother. Her quiet strength, generosity, and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Kezhuang will be remembered as a gentle and generous soul, whose kindness and devotion to her family defined her life. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband, QiuShi Chen; her daughters, Tao and Xin; her siblings, Kecheng, Kejin, and Li; and her grandchildren, Sheryl, Kevin, Isaac, and Lilian.

A funeral service for Kezhuang will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, 34 West 2nd Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43201.
