Kirk Wesley Olney

Kirk Olney (KO) of Carroll Ohio, passed away Friday August 14, 2026 at the age of 83 at his residence.

Born June 5, 1943 In Columbus, Ohio to Luke and Virginia Olney. He graduated from Aquinas High School, and worked for Columbia Gas Company and was the minister of pastoral care at Madison Christian Church.

He enjoyed Ohio State football and playing ping pong. He loved his family and one of his biggest joys was watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife Emily, daughters Michelle (Mike) Robinson and Stephanie R. Brubaker ,son Kirk J. (Philip) Olney; grandchildren Kyle Wellman, Jake Brubaker and Heath (Tiffany) Wellman; great grandchildren Peyton Wellman, Brody Wellman, Lily Wellman, Rocco Wellman, Wyatt Wellman, Waylon Wellman and Walker Wellman.

He is preceded in death his brother Craig Olney.

Visitation to be held Wednesday, August 19 from 10-12pm at Madison Christian Church where funeral service will follow at 12pm. A reception will be held from 1-2pm in the fireside room.
